Eric Dominguez
Eric Dominguez, 35, was held at the El Paso County Detention Facility in late November 2021. His wife, Nancy Martinez, said he had a painful ulcer and was vomiting blood in the days before he died. Detention officers found him unresponsive in his cell on December 6, 2021, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital. The county medical examiner's autopsy attributed his death to gastrointestinal bleeding from a peptic ulcer, and the Texas Rangers investigated, but his family says they have still not received answers from the sheriff's office.
