Eric Cano
Eric Cano, 40, was held at the Harris County Jail in Texas and was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in May 2023 for treatment of cirrhosis. He died there on June 16, 2023. The sheriff's office said he died of a terminal illness, with cirrhosis of the liver as the cause, and that his death was natural. Cano's attorney said he had been suffering greatly and that his death brought relief. The Institute of Forensic Sciences was to determine the cause of death, and the Texas Rangers were to investigate.
