Emmitt Foster

Emmitt Foster was executed by the state of Missouri on May 3, 1995. According to a 2014 South China Morning Post report, the execution was halted seven minutes in when the chemicals stopped flowing, because the straps binding him to the gurney were too tight. The report says he gasped and convulsed, and died 30 minutes after the straps were loosened.
