Emmanuel Owusu, a 62-year-old man, died on October 6, 2008, while held in immigration detention at the Eloy Federal Contract Facility in Casa Grande, Arizona. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported his cause of death as suicide by hanging. The agency's account is the only one we have, and it has not been independently verified.
