Emmanuel Akueir
Emmanuel Akueir, a 17-year-old from Richmond, died on January 26, 2017, while held at the Fort Bend County Jail in Texas. The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said he was found attempting suicide by hanging in the jail and was taken to Oak Bend Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Texas Ranger Service is assisting the Sheriff's Office in its investigation. The Texas Office of the Attorney General's custodial death report also lists his death at the jail on that date.
