Elvis Upshaw, 62, died on July 26, 2021, while held at the Falkenburg Road Jail in Hillsborough County, Florida. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said he was found unresponsive after a medical episode and taken to Brandon Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The sheriff's office said the cause of death is undetermined and await the medical examiner's findings, and that its investigation is ongoing.
