Ellef Ellefson

Ellef Ellefson died on January 19, 2008, at age 103 at the Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center in Mauston, Wisconsin. He was born and raised in Vernon County and had lived in La Crosse for many years. His obituary said he was known for the tobacco he raised, and a 1940s newspaper article described him as the state's largest tobacco grower.
