Elise Snow
Elise Snow, 21, was held at Dayton Correctional Institution, a women's state prison in Dayton, Ohio, when she died at Miami Valley Hospital on February 20, 2026. Her father, Brandon Ziminsky, says she was loving, generous and stubborn, loved fast cars, and brought home injured and abandoned animals. He says she complained for weeks of a leg injury and of not getting her medication, and that hospital staff told him the injury became infected with gangrene and led to sepsis. He believes she did not get proper medical care, and says other people held at the prison told him staff ignored her pleas for help. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has an open investigation and has not released its records.
