Elijah Jones
Elijah Jones died on September 11, 2018, shortly after 4 p.m., while held at the Nebraska State Penitentiary. Officials said he was being treated for a long-term medical condition and that the cause of his death has not been determined. The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said a grand jury will investigate the death, as it does when someone dies in its custody.
