Elijah Jarvey Marcum
Elijah Jarvey Marcum, 23, died on November 24, 2018, at Mount Olive Correctional Complex in Fayette County, West Virginia, where he was held. Lawrence Messina, a spokesman for the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety, said he hanged himself in his cell. Staff responded after he was found in need of medical attention, and he was pronounced dead in the prison infirmary about an hour later. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner's report was still pending when the news was published.
