Elijah Ashbey
Elijah Ashbey, 21, died on November 15, 2015, while held at the Travis County Jail in Texas. The Travis County sheriff's office said he was found unconscious in his cell on November 10, 2015, and that he had hanged himself. He was taken to a hospital and remained there until he was pronounced dead. A preliminary medical examiner's investigation found he died of asphyxiation after making a rope from items in his cell, and an autopsy was still under way when the report was published.
