Edward Michael Sullivan
Edward Michael Sullivan, 46, of Ashley, Ohio, was found unresponsive on the floor of his cell at the Delaware County Jail early on March 8, 2019, about 31 hours after he was booked there. Corrections officers and staff spent about 30 minutes trying to revive him, and medics pronounced him dead at 4:06 a.m. The Delaware County sheriff's office said the cause of death was unknown, that foul play was not suspected, and that the death was under investigation pending an autopsy. The sheriff's office said it was saddened by his death and extended prayers to his family, and said it sees no signs more could have been done, though officials were awaiting the autopsy to determine the cause and whether his care was lacking.
