Edward Hill
Edward Hill was 52. His sister, Regina Hill, said he had been healthy, was doing well while held at South Bay Correctional Facility, a state prison in Palm Beach County, Florida, and was close to finishing a welding class. She said he was moved to a local hospital on July 14, 2020, that the family was not told for about a week, and that she then had to fight for permission to see him. Regina Hill said he contracted COVID-19 at the facility. Edward Hill died on August 10, 2020, and the Florida Department of Corrections recorded the manner of death as natural.
Cause of death, as reported: Died of illness (neglect alleged). His sister Regina Hill says he contracted COVID-19 at South Bay Correctional Facility and that she was not notified for a week after he was moved to a hospital, then had to fight for permission to see him.
