Edward D. Gregory
Edward D. Gregory, 36, died on April 3, 2023, while held at the Scotland County Correctional Institution in Scotland County, North Carolina. According to the state Department of Adult Correction, he was found unresponsive in his cell in the early hours of that Monday and was pronounced dead shortly after. The department says the death appears to be a suicide. Law enforcement is investigating, and the department is conducting its own review.
