Edward Crevda
Edward Crevda, 54, of Amherst, died on May 31, 2023, at the Lorain County Jail in Elyria, where he was being held. The Lorain County Sheriff's Office said he had an apparent medical emergency in a booking cell, and that deputies were called to the cell around 4:30 p.m. He was taken to University Hospital in Elyria and pronounced dead around 5 p.m. The sheriff's office says the cause and manner of death are pending, and its Detective Bureau is investigating, with an autopsy scheduled for June 1.
