Edward C. Bergman
Edward C. Bergman, 53, was held at California State Prison, Sacramento in Folsom when he was found unresponsive in his cell on the night of April 30, 2023. He was taken to the prison's on-site medical facility and pronounced dead shortly after midnight on May 1. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said it is investigating his death as a homicide, that another incarcerated man was identified as a suspect, and that an inmate-made weapon was found at the scene.
