Eddie Mixon Jr.
Eddie Mixon Jr., 50, died on October 28, 2019, while held at the St. Bernard Parish Jail in Louisiana, four days after he arrived there. His wife and daughter sued, saying he had serious heart, lung and blood pressure conditions, that he deteriorated quickly in jail, and that staff did not send him to a hospital. The lawsuit says recordings of his calls show he complained of withdrawal and that nurses were not helping him. The Sheriff's Office report does not state a cause of death.
