Eddie Fuentes
Eddie Juarez Fuentes, 36, died on October 25, 2014, while held at the Monterey County Jail, where he had been for about four months. He was found unresponsive in his cell on a Saturday night and taken to Natividad Medical Center, where he died. Assistant District Attorney Berkley Brannon said it appears he died of a drug overdose after a plastic bag was found in his stomach. Toxicology results were still pending, and the District Attorney's Office is investigating how drugs got into the jail and whether human action played a role in his death.
