Eddie Deminstress Thomas, Jr.
Eddie Deminstress Thomas, Jr., 52, of Columbus, Mississippi, was held at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center, where he was found dead in his bed on the morning of May 13, 2024, after he did not come to breakfast. Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant said the death appears natural and that he saw no injuries or signs of foul play. An autopsy by the State Medical Examiner's Office and an investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are pending.
