Ed. Whitehead

Ed. Whitehead, a Black person, was in the custody of the officer guarding them at Seaboard, North Carolina. A mob took Ed. Whitehead from that officer and hanged them from a tree limb. The death occurred while Ed. Whitehead was held by the state, and the mob's killing ended their life.
