Dylan Akers
Dylan Akers was held at the Christian County Jail in Kentucky. According to a federal wrongful death lawsuit filed by his estate, staff placed him in a restraint chair and left him unattended there for more than two hours. Jail staff found him unresponsive shortly after midnight, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital. The Kentucky Chief Medical Examiner's Office attributed his death to acute multidrug intoxication, including methamphetamine, fentanyl and buprenorphine, and reported no skull fracture or scalp hemorrhage, while the sheriff attributed a head injury to a fall; the estate's lawsuit alleges negligence and denial of medical care, and these points remain disputed.
