Dustin Ortega was held at Bullock County Correctional Facility in Union Springs when he was found unresponsive in his cell on Saturday, April 20, 2024. He was pronounced dead. The Alabama Department of Corrections said his cause of death awaited an autopsy and investigation, and his death came within days of others at the same prison.
