Douglas James Hill
Douglas James Hill, 36, was from Apple Valley. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, he was found unresponsive in his housing cell at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto around 5:30 a.m. on October 27, 2026, and was pronounced dead after fire personnel arrived. The department said he had been taken to a hospital and medically cleared before booking, but it has not said why he was hospitalized or what his condition was before he was found. The cause of death is pending an autopsy, and the manner of death has not been determined.
