Dorothea Puente, 82, died on March 27, 2011, at the Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla, where she was held. The state Department of Corrections, through spokeswoman Terry Thornton, said she died of natural causes. The state's account gives the time of death as about 10:15 a.m. that Sunday.
