Donya Strickland
Donya Strickland, 37, was held at the Glynn County Detention Center in Georgia, where a jail officer found her hanging from a bedsheet in her cell on Tuesday evening, March 21, 2006. The sheriff's office said she apparently hanged herself while alone in the cell and was not on suicide watch, and the coroner's office also listed hanging as the cause of death. Sheriff Wayne Bennett said an investigation has begun and that, in his view, all policies and procedures were followed.
