Donnie Clay
Donnie Clay, 37, was a loving father, according to his cousin Tennille Stiff, and his family says he lived with schizophrenia and that deputies knew he had problems. He was found dead in his cell at the Tunica County correctional facility on a Wednesday morning, about 30 minutes after being admitted. The sheriff's office has not released a cause of death while the investigation is open, but his mother, Maggie Clay, says deputies told her he hanged himself. Her family is calling for an independent investigation, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is overseeing the case.
