Dongfan Greg Chung, 84, died on May 28, 2020, at Federal Correctional Institution Butner Low in Butner, North Carolina, after testing positive for COVID-19. Federal prison officials said he went into respiratory failure at the facility, was evaluated, and was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead.
