Dominique Worrell
Dominique Worrell, 26, died on August 26, 2015, at Southern Correctional Institution in Montgomery County, North Carolina, where she was held in state custody. The state Department of Public Safety said she was found hanging in her cell on a Wednesday afternoon and died by suicide. Prison medical staff and EMS workers were unable to revive her, and she was pronounced dead about 20 minutes after officers found her. Prison officials turned the investigation over to police.
