Dominique Spence, 32, died on November 28, 2021, while held at the U.S. Penitentiary at Canaan in Wayne County, Pennsylvania. The Scranton Times-Tribune reported that Spence died after a fight with another person held at the facility that Sunday morning. Wayne County Coroner Edward Howell's autopsy ruled the death a homicide caused by sharp force injuries.
