Dominique Bohannon Hurt
Dominique Bohannon Hurt, 33, was held at Valdosta State Prison in Georgia. On a Sunday in June 2016 he was found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead at a hospital emergency room, according to local reports. Lowndes County Coroner Bill Watson said he saw no signs of trauma, but the Georgia Department of Corrections is investigating and an autopsy was planned, so the cause and manner of death remain pending. Hurt's body was to be returned to his family, who live around Milledgeville. Local reports noted he was the third person from the prison to die that year, after a February cell fire killed two other men.
