Dominick Maccariella
Dominick Maccariella, 65, was in the custody of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office when he died on New Year's Day 2026 at the JSO Community Transition Center in Jacksonville, Florida. He had been admitted to UF Health on December 17 for a planned medical procedure. The sheriff's office said complications and an infectious disease led to a steady decline in his condition.
