Dewey McVay Jr.
Dewey McVay Jr. was held at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio, when staff used force on him in his cell. He died 18 days later. Pickaway County Prosecutor Judy Wolford said he died of head injuries. The Ohio Highway Patrol investigated, and Wolford declined to bring charges, saying his history of banging his head against walls cast doubt on how the injuries occurred.
