DeVarrieo Shepherd
DeVarrieo Shepherd, 33, died on July 14, 2021, while held at Donaldson Correctional Facility, a state prison in Alabama. Alabama Department of Corrections spokeswoman Kristi Simpson said he was found unresponsive in a segregation cell and taken to the infirmary, where he was pronounced dead. The department said its Law Enforcement Services Division is investigating the death, and no cause or manner of death has been given.
