Desmond Guild
Desmond Guild, 27, collapsed in his day room at the New Orleans jail on June 19, 2020, and was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. The Sheriff's Office said there was no sign of force or foul play. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office said a preliminary autopsy found a pulmonary thromboembolus, a blood clot blocking an artery to the lungs, and that the manner of death had not yet been determined. His family, through their attorney Gregg Carter, said they intend to look into his death and seek justice for Desmond.
