Deshawn L Coley
Deshawn Coley, 39, died on May 2, 2017, while held at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Deshawn had a medical episode and became unresponsive. Deshawn's body was taken for a postmortem examination, and the State Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation into the death. A later state list of jail deaths from North Carolina's Department of Health and Human Services records the death as from natural causes.
