Derreal Jackson
Derreal LaWayne Jackson died at the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth, Texas, in early August 2023. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, he had a medical emergency and was found unresponsive in his cell, then taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 6 a.m. The sheriff's office said jail medical staff had examined him after booking, and that he had told them he took fentanyl before arriving. The medical examiner's office had not determined the cause or manner of death.
