Deon Crowell
Deon Crowell, 51, had been held at the D.C. Central Detention Facility since June 2018. The Department of Corrections said he tested positive for the coronavirus in April 2020, was placed in isolation and taken to a hospital the same day, and died the following morning. News reports said his death was the first from the virus at the facility, where more than 40 people held there had tested positive at the time.
