Dennis Weaver
Dennis Weaver was one of nine people held at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville who were killed during the 11-day prison uprising that began on Easter Sunday in April 1993. A 2018 Truthout article says prisoners had been held for at least 24 hours without food when sandwiches were finally delivered, and that another prisoner, William Bowling, killed Weaver in a fight over them. Other accounts describe the nine deaths as killings by fellow prisoners, whom the men were believed to be informants. A 2022 Cincinnati Enquirer article names Weaver among those killed, and accounts of the killings differ in their details.
