Demonta L. Thrower
Demonta L. Thrower, 41, of Lancaster, died on November 15, 2025, after collapsing in a shower at the York County Detention Center, where he was being held. According to the sheriff's office, other people held there alerted staff shortly after 4:50 p.m., and he was taken to Piedmont Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m. The sheriff's office described the death as following a medical emergency and asked the State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. The cause and manner of death are under investigation.
