Demetrios Washington
Demetrios Washington, known as Bubba, had schizophrenia, and his mother, Mildred Washington, has spoken publicly about her search for answers. He died in solitary confinement at the privately run East Mississippi Corrections Facility in Meridian, Mississippi, on June 29, 2023. MDOC officials told his mother he died of dehydration, a explanation she does not accept. His family says they are still seeking the truth about how he died.
