Delmon Washington, 48, of Stock Island, died while held in state custody at the South Florida Reception Center in Miami-Dade County. The Florida Department of Corrections gives April 16, 2026, as his date of death and records the manner of death as accident. When Keys News reported on his death on April 21, no cause of death had been released.
