Dejuan Johnson
Dejuan Johnson was 25 years old. In January 2024, Montgomery County sheriff's deputies were guarding him at a Dayton hospital where he was being treated, and a Columbus Dispatch investigation reports that he took a deputy's gun during that time. The Dispatch says staff left the room after the gun discharged, and he ran from the hospital to a nearby house. Dayton police found him there dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, and the Dispatch's investigation describes his death as a suicide.
