Died in jail or a lockup
Debra Upton
Debra Upton, 52, was taken to the Marshall County Jail after Arab police arrested her on a Monday night in April 2026. The next day officers found her unresponsive in her cell, and she died after being brought to the hospital. The Marshall County Sheriff's Office asked the State Bureau of Investigation to examine her death, and no cause has been made public.
