Deavon Scott
Deavon Scott, 23, collapsed while held at Riverbend Detention Center, which is run by the East Carroll Parish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana, and died at a hospital in Lake Providence in February 2026. The warden told his mother that surveillance footage showed him collapsing after what appeared to be a seizure. Initial autopsy reports from the East Carroll Parish Coroner's office found no drugs in his system. His mother and the coroner say they have not been allowed to review the footage.
