Deadrick Jones
Deadrick Jones, 30, was a much-loved son and nephew, according to his mother, Temeka Jones, and his uncle, Anthony Byers, who said he was working toward returning to his family. He died on September 23, 2026, at South Central Correctional Facility in Clifton, Tennessee, a prison run by CoreCivic under contract with the Tennessee Department of Correction. Officials first said he had suffered a medical emergency. His family says they received little information and learned from other people held at the facility that he had been stabbed. The investigation is ongoing, and no cause or manner of death has been officially released.
