Dawson

Dawson was held in the Charleston jail in Kanawha County, West Virginia, in January 1876. According to the New York Herald, a mob took him and two other men from the jail the night before they were hanged at Campbell's Creek Bridge early the next morning, in front of a large crowd. Civil authorities later took the bodies down and prepared them for burial.
