Died in jail or a lockup
Dawson Reifschneider
Dawson Reifschneider, 25, was found dead inside a cell at the Keith County Jail in Ogallala on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Jail staff found him and notified the Keith County Sheriff's Office, which passed the case to the Nebraska State Patrol. The State Patrol said the death appeared to be a suicide and that no other person was in the cell. The Keith County Attorney's Office asked for a grand jury investigation, and the State Patrol is investigating.
