Davidson

Frank Davidson was hanged at Warrensburg, Missouri, on July 9, 1879, in a judicial execution. According to the Little Falls Transcript, he offered prayers and speeches at the gallows and bade those present farewell, with about 10,000 people watching. He was pronounced dead about fifteen minutes after the drop fell, and his body was to be sent to his father. The two accounts differ on the date, one giving July 8 and the other July 9.
