David Woodward
David Woodward, 32, of Perry, died on October 1, 2024, while held at the Houston County Detention Center in Georgia. According to WSB-TV, he collapsed in his cell that afternoon and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said the cause and manner of death are pending, and the Medical Examiner's Office has performed an autopsy while the investigation continues.
