David Wayne King, 41, was held at the Duval County Jail in Jacksonville, Florida. He was found in his cell, and Jacksonville Fire Rescue took him to a hospital, where he died late on Saturday, August 9, 2025, two days later. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said detectives are investigating his death and that no use-of-force incidents involving him have been reported.
